Shimmering Warfare with a Sexy Edge at Balmain

Last season, Balmain made us want to mortgage our houses and go without food so we could own their gem-encrusted, multi ankle-strapped high heels. They also set the trend for the highly-defined padded shoulders, seen on both their glittering mini dresses and also their structured blazers, which were teamed with bleached and torn jeans. Within minutes of that show going live, the trend was picked up by celebrities and copied on global high streets, so we feel it is pretty safe to say the look that we will be seeing everywhere next season is: Army Rock and Roll, as given to us by Balmain.
There was plenty of attitude oozed as tight leather trousers were combined with revealing khaki coloured, structured blazers that had further military details, like chainmail epaulets and combat pockets.
Jeans were again distressed, battered and with shimmering gold details that perfectly matched the shimmering gold make-up the models were sporting as well as their perfect bronzed skin. The look of this show was Afghanistan via Vegas, yet somehow we loved every bit of it.
